JESSICA JAMES
Principal & Founder
Jessica is an energetic and experienced communications advisor serving clients in the areas of marketing, public relations, community relations and public affairs. Before founding Longfellow Communications and offering her services as a consultant, she managed the day-to-day marketing and communications of a large regional law firm while also providing high-level communications strategy consulting to clients of her
own.
Throughout her career, Jessica has experienced firsthand the power of effective communications – whether advocating for
policies, advancing candidates or articulating a brand position. Prior to her time at the law firm, Jessica served as a Legislative Aide to a U.S. Senator and worked on a range of federal policy issues. During breaks from her work in Washington, she held senior positions in several statewide political campaigns in Maine. Jessica has also served as Director of Communications for a state-based non-profit and as a marketing professional for one of the region's largest energy companies.
She is a graduate of the University of Maine and lives in Portland with her husband and three daughters.
